Study the mechanical systems in window air conditioners, heat pumps and refrigeration training units. Learn to use essential refrigeration tools like: manifold gauge sets, vacuum pumps, dial-a-charge, service wrenches, duct thermometers, various hand tools, and refrigerant recovery units.

Electrical Principles

Learn electrical techniques for low voltage circuits and line voltage circuits. Study basic transformers, testing procedures, and single and three phase motors.

Residential Wiring Applications

Learn to use and interpret the National Electrical Code (NEC) while you work with switches, receptacles, light fixtures and fans. Get hands-on experience as you wire a downsized three bedroom dwelling to NEC standards.

 

 



Commercial Wiring Techniques

Delve deeper into the NEC as you study three phase motors, auto timers, fluorescent lighting, high pressure and mercury lamps. Wiring a downsized office building provides hands-on training.

Residential Air Conditioning

Work on residential, split, and package system, heat pumps, air conditioning units, gas piping, schematics, and gas furnaces

Advanced Air Conditioning Techniques

Train in the electrical and mechanical aspects of residential and commercial air conditioning units. Students will also be introduced to automobile air conditioning systems.

Refrigeration Techniques

Learn to troubleshoot residential and commercial ice machines. Actually learn to work on walk in coolers and freezers, learn about critical charging.

Advanced Troubleshooting Techniques

Learn more on electrical troubleshooting on the star trainer, basic chiller training is also covered. EPA certification 608 testing
